Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and how it's handled.

Effective Date: August 28, 2026
Applies to: Anyone who submits information to Yardbird — visitors requesting access on our marketing site, and Users/Tenants using the Software.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Yardbird ("Yardbird," "we," "us," "our") collects, why, and how it's handled. It's a companion to, not a replacement for, the Yardbird Beta Program Terms of Service (Tenant Owner) and (User) — where those documents already address a topic (e.g., who owns Tenant Data), they control; this Policy focuses specifically on personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Tenant Data. The operational business information a Tenant company enters into or generates within the Software (material pricing, reel/spool inventory counts, subcontractor details, job/project records, and similar). Ownership and handling of Tenant Data is governed by Section 4 of the Terms of Service (Tenant Owner) — it belongs to the Tenant, and we do not sell it or share it with other Yardbird customers.

User Account Information. When a Tenant authorizes you as a User, we collect what's needed to operate your account: your name, login credentials, email address, phone number, job title, the timestamp/IP address recorded when you accept these terms, and the material/yard transactions you record while performing your job. Your activity within the Software is visible to authorized Tenant Administrators at your company.

Access Requests. If you submit the "Request Access" form on our marketing site, we collect what you provide — name, company name, email, and optionally phone number, team/yard size, current tracking method, and any message you include. This is used solely to follow up about Yardbird access and is never sold or shared with anyone outside Yardbird.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to operate, support, debug, and improve the Software; to respond to access requests and other inquiries; and to send account-related and operational email (e.g., notifications you or your Tenant have configured). Documents uploaded for receiving (manifests, work orders, and similar) are processed using Google's Gemini AI to extract structured data — see Section 3 below.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

Yardbird runs on infrastructure operated by the following providers, each acting on our behalf to deliver the Software — none of them are permitted to use your information for their own independent purposes:

4. No Sale of Data

We do not sell personal information or Tenant Data, to anyone, for any purpose.

5. Data Retention

Yardbird is currently in beta — as with the Terms of Service, no specific data retention period, backup guarantee, or uptime commitment is made during the Beta Period. Personal information and Tenant Data are retained for as long as the associated Tenant account is active, and deleted upon reasonable written request or Tenant termination, subject to what's reasonably necessary to comply with law or resolve disputes.

6. Cookies

The Software uses only strictly-necessary cookies required for you to log in and stay logged in securely (a session cookie and a CSRF-protection cookie). We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below. Requests related to Tenant Data itself should go through your Tenant's own administrator, since Tenant Data belongs to the Tenant, not to Yardbird.

8. Children's Privacy

The Software is a business tool intended for use by working adults authorized by a Tenant company. It is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as the Software evolves. Material changes will update the Effective Date above.

10. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
